Amaretto

One of the most popular Amaretto brands is Disaronno originale. Rumor has it that in 1525 the painter Bernardino Luini was commissioned to paint a fresco by Madonna for the Santa Maria delle Grazie church in Saronno. He then had a romantic affair with a young female innkeeper who he used as a model. She created the liqueur as a gift for her lover.

Irish Coffee

According to the stories, Irish coffee was first served in 1942 by Joe Sheridan at the airport in Foynes, the predecessor of Shannon Airport in western Ireland, in County Limerick. Sheridan is said to have poured some tired passengers coffee with a dash of whiskey and some cream on it, to spice them up. When asked if it was Brazilian coffee, Sheridan replied: "No, my friend, this is Irish coffee."

Sparkling Wine

The taste of our Sparkling Wine is based on Champagne. This wine has been popular for centuries. French courtiers were already serving champagne to foreign princes who came to visit in the 15th century. However, this was the silent variant, without bubbles. In 1668 a new variant presented itself: the clear and sparkling champagne. The fame of this drink quickly increased and is still popular today.
